After a war..

a few points :
in the future 1/6 of Singaporeans will be foreigners ... will they fight or flee ?
in time of war most will try to ship out family to "safe" nations .. there will be a mass exodus of our population ...
who will man the ship when we are fighting ?
everyone talks about fighting in MY territory .. who's to say there wont be any on our own soil ?enemy commando raids ? , undercover cells of special forces or even ( though I dont think it would happen ) elements of our own population turning against us.
I am sure MY will holler out " Jihad " and that is like putting out the welcome mat for the psycho suicidal islamic extremists to come and attack us .
gents ... simple answer is any sort of war whether MY is the aggressor or SG is... we all lose in the long run . -

What is the assumption behind the question "Who will man the ship as we are fighting?" the singapore government would dissolve in a war? there is absolutely no reason for this kind of assumption.
yes, fanatics could come from our own population, there will be terrorists, commando, suicide bombers.... but this is not a new situation for us today, today we are already fighting against the war against terrorism.
but when MY start the 'jihad' war, imagine what will happen to the 8 million chinese and 3 million indians in My who are not muslim? The scenario becomes totally different!
Singapore will not be want to be the agreesor, we fight only to survive. What is winning in the long term? if there is a war between Singapore and MY, there will be no winner, not in the short, never in the long term. -

Simple:
Not counting those suicidal-brain-damaged terrrorists, would who risk the warth of international response hving attacked Singapore? Isn't that a suicide attempt itself when a crazy General happily MLRS'ed Singapore with 1/6 chance of killing a non-Singaporean?
Too much is at stake if Singapore goes down, both regionally and globally.
Not counting the SLOC, commerce, political, capital out flow from the region...
Going to war is like going to casino:
You are never assured a win even with the best bet u laid and more often the payback is much much more.
So how is SAF going to function with the remaining 50% of the 5/6 Singapore populance....I think the current on-going 3G military revolution already answered that... -
The more connected we are, the more secure we can be.
Any attack on us will impact on other major players, and that's where our second-line of insurance may lie. -
no matter what..i still think peace is still better than war.. peace is simpler and not as complicated as the matters that may crop up during a war. like said..war is unpredictable. unpredictable means investors are going to be wary of singapore in the future even after the war..

first of all in any TAKEOVER you need the support of the locals
there's lots of scenarios how to conduct a takeover there must be an elemnet of surprise
so when there's such opportunities arise there's such posibilites can occur

The population in the city consists majority 90% Chinese this where land troops of saf will be greeted immediately when they
march in, till they move up north then they have the villages where the majority is Malay.
So depends on SAF to take down the nearest city first and get the support of the city plp first it can be just walk over
victory without any resists and can be done within 6 hrs of completely take over main utilities like telcomunication,
brocasting etc.
eg: look at Thaialnd coup how many hours to take over bkk, just a scenario.
Second
Due to rising tension between enthic in Malaysia this few years, this may be a wonderful opp for SAF to conduct a take over,
I sure the Chinese population there will support SAF.
As for the manpower to secure jb/johor, lets look at agfha and iraq theres local tht get paid to help the us/uk to take care
of some guard matter, so it lessen the burden of SAF
another thing why I say SAF stand a big chance of winning if they don't use extra force,
and started using propaganda like those jap and you don't attract world attention to you

they can mobilize.

Boy,malaysia can still last more than 72 hours unlike singapore because they have overseas territories like the massive sabah, sarawak and numerous islands bigger than singapore.My point is they can easily relocate their command post anywhere, making it hard for rsaf to bomb.Singapore move to pulau ubin?? no matter what in a war the racial element will be a key advantage in theory to the war planners in singapore. but who knows what will actually happen until you're there? as for sabah, sarawak..i think they are too far away to deploy reinforcements. Although they might be a source of harrasement if singapore annexes johore.

I don't understand why singaporean fascination about JB? because of the cheap shopping or the food?
ever thought about 1 thing. If we stayed in JB with no political solution we loose the war even though we win the battle. If we can only go to JB than we better don't walk across.
SAF doesn't solved political solution it is a military organization. political resolution r left with political party. Do u think our minister r up to that task? do they have a feel of MY political issue? Do u think Johorian are willing to listen what PAP said without contesting? Do u think they think like SG?
until u can mind melt the people which i doubt so other than in the 60's we have no pulse on MY and so does MY to SG. The current generation politician probably know more about US, Europe, PRC than MY.
