  In smaller operations involving say a battalion attack, thats where command and control plays an important role so as not to f*ck everything up. If it involves other arms or service, then the third C suddenly becomes ultra important--- Communications.

  If you have been involved in a firefight, or trained to be in one, you know just how confusing it can get.

  Add to this kind of confusion - darkness - where you can't see who's who. And on top of that, these days everyone wears the same-looking uniform.
  
  Never in history had there been a period like now where everyone - including PLA, ROC, MY, INDO etc etc all wear the same shape helmet and similar-looking camo uniform.

  Stats show that in a war u r more likely to be killed by friendly fire than e enemy itself.

  i thought US forces is quite known for friendly-fire , by looking @ the vietnam war back in ages, A-10s got the most flag in killing enemy and friendly. Those were the days that were not so high tech. Thats why there is such thing call UAV nowadays, to scout before striking them. It does greatly reduces the chances of friendly fire .. but sad to say, friendly fire still does exist out there. All those info i get was thru a documentry show in Discovery Channel.
