Security Guards at Tebrau City (JB)

That day went to this Tebrau City in Johor Bahru and saw this security guard standing outside a jewellery shop. He was holding a rifle! but not sure wad rifle is that. Any bros went there b4 and noe wad weapon is that? Seems like a shotgun to me but come to tink of it, it seems abit qua zhang to hold a shot gun guarding a jewellery shop

its normal for pawn shops, jewellery shops and banks in Malaysia to arm their guards with Zoli,Winchester or Benelli shotguns..

That time newspapers reported a robber with revolver entered the shop & the guard with shotgun dropped his shotgun & surrendered.

In Thailand the Jewel factory guards I saw uses the big-daddy of all shotguns: the S. Korean USAS-12. It's a full-auto shotgun that looks like an over-sized M-16 with a drum mag.
It's the Platoon Support Weapon of Security Guards.

The robbers there can be brutal, sometimes they think nothing of capping the guard without giving him any warning at all. They just blow you away if they think you are a threat, without giving you any chance to surrender.

The Robbers were armed with AK-47s with Steel AP rounds as well as full body armor.
The Police couldn't do jack with their 9mm Berettas and shotguns were ineffective (no pun intended).
The Robbers on the other hand, shredded the police and the cars they were hiding behind. -
