Seasoning a beret

Was wondering what's the most effective way of seasoning a beret?
The one I was issued when I was a NSF was very well seasoned. Suspect it was a used beret. Anyway in those days they were issued by CQ. Now I've lost the damn thing & bought a new one. Looks like I'm wearing a roti prata. How the hell do I season it so it folds nicely when worn?
Also, this might sound dumb but my previous beret didn't touch my right ear. Is this normal? A beret which fits correctly is it supposed to touch the ear, or almost touch the ear or what? Starting to wonder if my beret has been oversized all this while.

flatten under ur bed mattress, but i use iron to iron

Put under CPU... If not just iron, careful not to touch those nylon sides... I think some berets have...

when u not wearing it give ir to your nenek or aunty to wear it until it was really season.

under ur pillow is fine.
just don't get too small size like me. then won't look like a cock already. -
Kinda sticks out to the right. If I hold it down it looks ok though. Am guessing its still unseasoned hence the sticking out.

If your beret is forever dry, it can never touch your ear. The material on the beret can be stretched albeit slowly and over time. How to get it wet? Now that's a hard thing to do. Get it too wet it will shrink.

Try getting a bigger size, then fold it nicely, add a little water to 'season' it, then put it under the bed, heavy books or whatever heavy stuff u can find.
Usually the problematic parts to ensure that it's in a nice shape are the front, near the crest, and the rear lor.
The rest shld be rather easy

Fold it to the correct rest position and place it under any heavy materials for some time. Iron it for a faster effect or use the water method.
A lot of people went to cut the inner layer of the beret so can be easily seasoned in a short amount of time. -

Just noticed the hard part (the one which you pin the crest to) of my beret is damn big sia. Its a semi circle but a very long one. My neighbour's is much shorter. Dang, hope that's not gonna make it even more difficult to fold when wearing.
What I do know is I definitely can't fold it the way I used to with my old beret before placing on my shoulder. All 'cos the damn hard part is so long. Last time when beret is on shoulder, the crest is pointing forward. Now the crest is hidden along the side & can't be seen. -
I suggest u fold it so that your crest is flat facing up. meaning u fold till the beret.... wha lao eh so hard to tell without showing.. folding it with crest facing up, the normal flat way, will let u wear it with a "shelter" over the crest. den when u wanna put it on ur shoulder, just fold before putting it on. no need to season. thats what i do.
i feel that season with crest facing up make u look better. and just fold to put on shoulder. btw don't get a too small beret. till it is like a little flap only. look damn c0ck. get a big one so when u wear, the flap can touch ur right ear. mine can tuck behind my ear de. hahaha but not so long la. just barely go behind ear (the space between the top of ur ear lobe and side of ur head* -

Get a bigger beret. Wearing a small beret that does not touch a ear makes one look like the gingerbread man.
