Never said anything wrong with Universal Rounds...its the best type of ammunition ever. Never runs out, aft.firing dun need clean rifle, can choose great variety of ammunition from laser to explosives to ball and lastly can be fired from all and any weapon. If it misses, its DU can still give enemy testicle cancer....10 yrs later.

Our GPMG is similar in specifications to the M240B. Some versions are equivalent to the L7A4 MG and the FN Herstal MAG
M249 is a squad support weapon, sharing the name FN Herstal Minimi. -

No, its depends on 2 factors:
a. how close the enemy were to where the 30mms landed
b. The radiation intensity of the DU batch used in the rounds.
All above are known to cause radiation sickness years after exposure, even when DU rounds missed its target....so in essence, GAU-8 "never miss" -
actually universal rounds are prohibited for training school, at least in sispec.
If IA, you jolly well have to clear yourself, plus have to conserve the number of rounds u got.
I got scolded one time too many for blazing through my rounds when they asked me to cover fire
SAF is not niao on bullets at all, all of us agree on 1 thing, that is we fired too many blanks (imagine given 100 rounds for FIBUA, god knows how many rooms you have to clear)
P.S. blanks are more expensive than live rounds. -
Yeah they've all said it.
No point firing 30rounds in one shot. In field i'd take semi auto to burst fire from full auto anytime. more accurate, ammo saving, and less prone to jamming. -
