  Graduate combat military officers entering the armed forces at Lieutenant level, with a good honours degree and without National Service will earn S$3,860 as a starting salary.
  
  What do they mean by GOOD Honours , what are the class are referred as GOOD
  honour?
  
  Then if with NS , how much will they be getting?

  how can go for degree without ns?

  i think they also refer to female who want to sign on.
  Female = w/o ns
  
  there are also NSman who sign on after they ORDed
  Male = with NS

  Good Hons means 2nd Upper and 1st class. And yes, the starting pay is indeed tat high for a graduate officer wif gd honours. Engineering officers draw a slightly higher starting pay than their combat counterparts (less SOF, Commandoes, divers and pilots) in all three services. This gap will close after 2 yrs and the combat officers' pay will surpass the engin's.

  they chiong jungle for 1+ year, then go off for studies. come back chiong jungle for a year or 2 more, then start their staff tour of duties.

  the public sector see lot in paper qualification
  
  i know its alot of $
  
  v tempting
  
  but dun jealous
  
  SCSC, some can some cannot
  
  i cannot coz i cannot see myself having a 2nd career transition after age 45.
  
  i strongly encourage females to sign on.
  
  after 45, loaded with $$ and stay at home look after kids
  
  if only i'm a female...
