These arent "tanks" there are IFVs (Infantry fighting vehicle)
AFVs are (i think) "older variants of IFVs". IFVS are modern with new age technology made to the armour/sights/defense systems. Their armour can withstand up to 35mm APFSDS rounds on the higher end.
AFVs are basically uparmoured armoured APCs with Armoured Turrets and heavier main weapons like a 25mm or 40AGL or 0.5 inch HMG. Their armour resistance usually increases to 12.7mm AP resisitant or more.
APCs are just tracked/wheel vehicles will armour that's at least 7.62mm resistant/shrapnel proof meant for carrying troops into - battle -. They are usually armed with a GPMG(==optional==) for the Vehicle Commander to use for basic defense and the troop carrying compartment has firing ports for additional firepower. They are very good for shielding troop movements while providing covering fire.
The thing in the last picture is most likely a 7.62 GPMG or a 0.5 inch HMG. Dont laugh, at least the Gunner is safe while spraying rounds at you.
On a side note. They arent really "upgraded M113s" They are brand new vehicles built and newly improved (and expanded) from a basic M113 blueprint.
Even our M113s are modified. A comparison with those of Taiwan's M113s will easily show that ours are a significantly larger variant.
Now, if the TS posted those pictures...did he take those IN JOHOR?

I wonder why MAF needs dedicated armour transporters? I mean most of the time their armour camps are located near the forested training areas mah, so why bother to use transporters?

Your book call it the FMC AIFV, but its other name is YPR-765, which I think is the name the Dutch gave it.
FMC AIFV is the manufacturer's name. YPR-765 is the Dutch army name. KIFV is the Korean Army's name. Adnan's is the MAF name. All for the the more or less same vehicle built under different license from FMC.
This vehicle is not operated by the US Army, which is why it doesn't have a "M" designation.
The M2 is a specially-designed IFV. The FMC AIFV or YPR-765 is a new vehicle based on the M113, as CM06 correctly put it.
Here's a crazy blue version with a evil-looking attachment in front.
