Sometimes it is hard not to believe the Jews when they say they are God's chosen tribe or something...
All those miraculous victories over superior size Arba armies etc...
Not to mention the story I read of one IDF trooper being hit by an RPG rocket. The thing didn't explode but was stuck in his stomach.
So this guy with the RPG rocket stuck in him, was carried by his brave buddies to the doctor. And the doctor successfully removed the warhead and the guy survived. They each desrve a medal. -

Old news, unless the TS is trying to toot some horns for who knows what reason.
Kudos to the F-15 design, but then again it's not the only plane who (in theory) can survive such damage. It is quite possible the Flanker and co. can do such a feat as well, given they all have pseudo lifting bodies that can generate lift when the wing is gone.
That is if you fight control computer has not been shot up by the damage or critical systems compromised by the loss of the wing. -

Very lucky fellow there! All are heroes in my opinion, the buddies who brought him to the doctor and the medical crew. As long as the plane is still within the computer's ability to compensate for, then yes. A F-117 lost it's tail once, but the pilot didn't even realize it until the chase plane told him about it, his flight computer having made up for the slack.
Though in pratice it is usually quite likely that to take damage that removes so much of the aircraft, other critical systems might be compromised as well and that might take out the flight computer, in which case the aircraft is lost. -
Talking bout all these amazing "feats" israeli troops encountered... I rmbed this news article bout this israeli troop who used his own body and the suicide bomber's body and pinned him against the ground to prevent him from killing civilians... As a result he kena blown off a few feet into the air, but survived with fractures... Amazing!

It seems to me that propaganda and journalism are basically the same thing with them, though they can’t really beat the Iraqi Information Minister, who was so bold in making his claims that some people simply found it hard to believe he was lying because the things he said were so incredible… Many Iraqis soldiers and foreign fighters had the impression the Yanks were stalled far down south even until Abrams tanks started rolling up to them and shooting them up, and even then they tried to explain it away as “4-5 tanks that made it all the way up” (mysteriously without any form of support or supplies).
One officer was told to investigate the claim that “4-5 American tanks” were moving around in Baghdad airport and reported back “Are you out of your mind? The whole American army is there!”. Speaks a lot about their accurate information sharing capability. -
Look at the kind of technologies they have and are developing. I'd believe what they claim!
In anycase, the credit for the One wing Landing should go to MacDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) instead. I heard even the MD people were amazed and brought the plane back to study why it survived! Kudos to the pilot on the amazing landing tho.
Trim pitch left to compensate for the lack of lift on right wing, increase right engine RPM, decrease left. Really needs a level head do be able to do that right after a collision. -
The pilot didn't have any idea his wing was gone until after he landed, he said had he been aware of the extent of damage he would have punched out.
Though from what I read in Air Combat, an old book by Life, this isn't the first time it happened. In one of the Arab/Israeli wars an F-15 was involved in a collision with a Mig that ripped off most of one of its wings, it also made it back to base. -

Like for the Yanks they had a marine squad pinned down on a roof by two insurgent snipers, the squad managed to pull off an amazing shot with their M203 to take out one with a direct hit, and then the other with an AT4. All this was done at extreme range (300 yards) under sniper fire, where they only had a split second to fire their weapons while they broke cover. The M203 was fired by the operator while he was lying on his back! He was either very lucky or very good to blow out the window at such extreme range.
Though it did help them that the insurgent snipers were of the inexperienced kind who thought that not relocating after every shot and firing their SVDs continually to give off their position was good sniper practice.
And of course, we did have the Scotts who bayonet-charged a bunch of insurgents and killed them all after getting frustrated by their harassing hit-and-run ambushes. If I had a wild Scottsman charging me with foam at his mouth and wanting to stick cold steel into my belly I would be very afraid too... -
