  I can verify PointBlue's version. Thats what I learn too. But he forgot the "Shout grenade loud loud" part.

  Notice that in general 5.56mm NATO rounds do indeed fragment and create a much larger wound track then their caliber would account for, which the AK 7.62mm round remains more or less intact (unless it hits bone) within the body.
  
  It depends on the make of the round, the speed it is travelling at and many other factors.

  What grenade did you guys use? Is it still the old SFG-87?
  
  Sounds different as the safety clip part is non existent anymore? Instead of a safety clip you now have to twist the ring?

  Ever learnt this drill in FIBUA in which when you throw a life grenade you don't shout "GRENADE!", but if you throw a hung grenade you do so?

  Wether a rd will disintergrate when it hit a body depends on e type of rds fired, hollow point r designed 2 fregments on impact with a human body but not ball points

  But my batch of BMT was like that tho.

  Take cover, count to 6, then come out and engage with universal round.

  Another confirmation that the SFG87 has undergone some changes.
  
  During my time there was a safety clip to unhook before all the other steps.
  
  It is not a big problem but the ideal grenade will be a completely one-handed procedure. Right now, you have to release both hands from your weapon to ready the grenade.

  I really haven't seen a grenade that can be primed with just 1 hand before actually...

  Does anyone remember from "Letters from Iwo Jima" when the Japs were committing suicide? They jab the grenade against their helmet to prime it - was it a one or two-handed move? Did they have to ready it before jabbing?
