RSAF Black Knights

Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the Black Knights? I remember watching them flying their all Super Skyhawk team back in the 90s during the first few AAs. They put up a pretty good show, and there's nothing like watching your own country's AF guys doing their thing! Anyone knows if they'll ever bring it back, or is it officially dead?

Maybe they are in the process of training the new batch of Black Knights who are F-16 pilots for the upcoming Asian Aerospace's replacement (I think is called Singapore Airshow or something)

Pilots are considered very rare commodity in the RSAF. Pilot training also very expensive. Training and turning out a good pilot is also very difficult not to mention the multi-million investment in each pilot. I don't think the RSAF want to sacrifice any pilot to stunt performance.

It is already a proven fact that we have our pilots performing aerial acrobatics in previous airshows. I was thinking it would be great if the Black Knights could be part of the pre-F1 race show! But me thinks Marina Bay might be a bit tight on space and too crowded for a full aerobatic display for jets tho. We do not have a dedicated aerial acrobatics team.... like the US Thunderbirds and so on...
I guess if they want to, they can get some experienced pilots and then paint the a/c accordingly....
But the next Black Knights will be using F16Cs and not A4s anymore... hmm.... -
actually the number of falcons which were given to rtaf would have nicely equipped a black knights team but then the strategic advantage of training there supersedes equipping an aerial acrobatics team imho.

E next time we see them, they will be in F-16s
