Hmm...spining really can accelerate the balls to that speed?Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:LOL, it's neither of these things that you mentioned... from what we know so far at least.
Why speculate when you can find some facts?

And of course, some interesting talk in regards to the "recoil" of the system. The person pitching for the weapon in the main article makes some dodgy physics mumbo jumbo though.
HEATOriginally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Armbrust you fire real HEAT or sub-caliber?
The sub-caliber has significant recoil, but the HEAT for all purposes works very well in being soft launch.
If you want to know what the recoil truly is like... try firing an 84 or Armbrust with the recoil soaking features disabled... and you will immediately understand the difference that their recoil-less features make.
If you survive that is.
I have said it before I will say it again. Lenz's law in which alternating magnetic fields produce a force is a "action reaction pair". If you take 2 coils facing each other with an alternating current, each will experience a force. Although it is different for superconducting coils, there will always be some degree of force on the track.Originally posted by maggot:I think it's magnetic repulsion or near those maglev theories or else how to shot so far with no flash? Rail or gauss got that visible plasma trails after the rounds
Why scrap it when you simply go crush some govt and rule that country as a military dictator?Originally posted by Quiet Guy:i would like to own the world biggest armour vehicle
so i can scrape it and sell as i am broke now.
You gotta know what it is before you can own it.Originally posted by wonderamazement:I'd also love to own a nice lil' weapon of wooing girls...
i am not a leader, i am a follower, when the leader fell, i follow up and take overOriginally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Why scrap it when you simply go crush some govt and rule that country as a military dictator?
Reminds me of a guy who built one and destroys the whole town in revengeOriginally posted by Quiet Guy:i would like to own the world biggest armour vehicle

Who?Originally posted by maggot:Reminds me of a guy who built one and destroys the whole town in revenge
The one in US that puts armour on his trailer and whack the whole townOriginally posted by wonderamazement:Who?
It was a bulldozer. He essentially armoured his bulldozer with concrete or somethng and he went round tearing people's houses, and a factory I think before he shot himself.Originally posted by maggot:The one in US that puts armour on his trailer and whack the whole town
Forgot the name
Sigh, when you rely on feelings then at the very least don't trying to come up with any physics for them.Originally posted by maggot:HEAT
84 and LAW recoiless my foot
Sigh, not wanting to do your researching and wanting to believe in "recoiless" magnetic repulsion or near those maglev theories that you don't even understand that violate the laws of motion to begin with?Originally posted by maggot:Hmm...spining really can accelerate the balls to that speed?
Don't need to tell you how many type of those weapons I have firedOriginally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Sigh, when you rely on feelings then at the very least don't trying to come up with any physics for them.
Maybe you are just a poor shooter for the Armbrust... workman blaming the tools? I did not experience "excessive" recoil in my experience with the Armbrust and neither did I miss my target.
And yes, you certainly have no idea about the actual recoil the 84 actually cuts out with it's Recoiless action.
Do the math and your talk is kinda empty.
You are starting to sound like the BMT recruits who make a lot of talk about how the recoil of their 5.56mm M-16 is high and causing them all kinds of problems like shoulder pain and cannot aim.
Don't need for us to know your Physics was likely a fail.Originally posted by maggot:Don't need to tell you how many type of those weapons I have fired
The rounds loses it's KE over distances the link you given says it allOriginally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Sigh, not wanting to do your researching and wanting to believe in "recoiless" magnetic repulsion or near those maglev theories that you don't even understand that violate the laws of motion to begin with?
The RPM required to spin the balls up to their supposed velocity is still below the RPMs that have been achieved by jet turbines... so yes... it is quite possible. The problem is in controlling the system to spit out the balls and deal with the reactions within the system that makes the whole claim highly suspicious.
Not to mention this inventor makes on claim on how his weapon supposedly does not behave like a gryoscope.
No I pass my PhysicsOriginally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Don't need for us to know your Physics was likely a fail.
Then how come even your most basic physics in here all so rosak one?Originally posted by maggot:No I pass my Physics

So the weapon is quite useless at long range
Someone trial run it with a ballistic program
