just some information for everyone here...
that website is noted to be inaccessible if you are in china (actually tried it myself during a visit to china 3 years back)... those forumners are either oversea chinese or of other nationalities.. .so dont take their words as representative of PRC.
secondly... the hubris occured because of some misunderstanding created by some, propogated by others and with due ignorance... we end up being bashed.
for example... some taiwanese apparently claim that SAF would come to the aid of ROC in the event of an invasion by PRC as reason for SAF presence in taiwan.
other mainland chinese simply mistook the starlight force as ROC special units in view of their huge array of high tech weapons.
lastly... there are obviously some trouble makers seeking cheap thrills over an unfortunate incident.... with irresponsible claim that SAF weapons are 10x more powerful then PLA.
and to those of us who have clashed with PRC forumners as where... they are always blabbering about nuking somebody when they feel their tech is not up to standard in a comparison... so i cant say i am surprised at all. -

Actually what they type in that forum is considered quite tame and mild liao. wait till u visit world military forum of network54.
But true enough, this is the internet, everyone reserves the rights to make any comments and views without unveiling their true self.
Talking abt military forums, there are a huge sea of PRC military websites. These websites are impt as the military is seen as an integrated part of the party, society and politics. The govt is smart to know that by allowing the citizens to satiate their bravado instincts and bragging on the internet, issues like socail disparity, dispora, rural urban issues can be swept under the carpet. These webbies can also produce a new generation of netizens that will be willing to show un-questionable support for the leadership. -
Very easy, if you want peace of mind, try to avoid “speaker corner” style forums, such forums are nature place for bashing

Anyway, lots of Singaporeans bash China and look down on China, so you can only expect the same from them. -
