The outcome of any war is decided by how the war is fought. If we fight the war as you described, there will be a stalemate only if Malaysia runs out of shells, otherwise, Singapore will sink.Originally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Actually, if we don't cross the strait and instead use arty fire and counter battery fire to hold them off, the entire war will be reduced to a naval and air battle. Moreover, what we can do is make it difficult for them to deploy landing craft and well, it will be ultimately a stalemate.
i think this writing is abit side track. You reserve the right to think that you can push up North without worrying your southern neighbor, and to not consider the unexpect sound arrogant. It is one thing to be confident, its another issue not to respect your enemy. Just as much as we reserve the ability to give them a good arse whacking. !!! it works both way . We are already known by our neighbors to be proud, arrogant, and yes you are right Singapore is much smaller.Originally posted by Thrall79:We have not much issues with the Indons. The corrupt Malaysians are a dfferent story. Water could be a reason. Anyway, we reserve the ability to give them a good arse-whacking if they try to be funny. This kindda of thing affects pride; thiers. Especially since Singapore is much smaller.
Actually I am more worried if the MAF stay out of the first assault by the SAF and then take us on when we are stretched.Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Of course thereÂ’s another questionÂ… when you get to Johor what then? Do you prepare defences or engage in an open conventional assault against the SAF? (if they have already taken over Johor). In the open conventional assault scenario I suspect the SAF will have the upper hand.
Not that the MAF shouldnÂ’t march troops south ASAP, but I think the whole operation is not without itÂ’s possible foils and problems.

Actually I am more worried if the MAF stay out of the first assault by the SAF and then take us on when we are stretched. That`s a pretty astute observation. Yes, i also think that the MAF(ironically) wants us to come in and they will fight from the interior where they can inflict the most casualties. They know that they will be decimated in a head-long straight fight given the number of men and equipement Singapore can throw at them at the initial commencement of hostilities.
Agreed, I also worried abt this.Originally posted by sgdiehard:Actually I am more worried if the MAF stay out of the first assault by the SAF and then take us on when we are stretched.
some MAF commandos? How many? For gombak.. more efficient to deliver bombs by air then sending a few commandos with a few "parcels"Originally posted by sir sickolot II:I've thought about it too... but i'm thinking SAF is not dumb, they know they have this veru obvious threat...so I'm sure they have something done to 'counter' it.
If not, just imagine, middle of the nite, some MAF Kommandos ( or however you call their elite forces) jumps out from a train, sneak into MINDEF and burn Gombak hill.
There goes our National Security. A threat i'm sure SAF should have ( i hope) thought of countering.
IN any case, pls pray for no war. Our economy, our lives will be hard and dire should we plunge ourselves into a war of any kind.
peace out
Being confident is not arrogant, if we fight we fight to win, we don't prey prey wan. Being humble will only invite potential enemy to try!Originally posted by seancannot:SAF is too arrogant and thot they will win the war.... that the problem ! In war anything can happen , our scholar general may not be up to the task then....
Beats sitting around and waiting for an arty shell or ASTROS rocket to land on RK Eating house, pok or no pok.Originally posted by Fingolfin_Noldor:Sure, but do you think we can hold Johor for long?
I agreed we need to be confident ... but you should also agreed we are over complacent... think some of the policy maker just reliase how their policy are flawed , look at how the chopper are downed in iraqi ... will our airborne cavarly guardsman be defeated.. how israeli tank are mauled with RPG and rocket at lebanon ... what will happen to our armour infantryOriginally posted by sgdiehard:Being confident is not arrogant, if we fight we fight to win, we don't prey prey wan. war is not ti kum ti kum, anything can happen. We know what it takes to win so we are prepared.
start a war with singapore and you are sure to lose, more so than going to a casino.
But but but it always adds up into many pages and views and that keeps the forum ranking up.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Can we have enough of this constant talk of war with malaysia.?

This I fully agree. We don't want others to take us likely, and we should never take others likely.Originally posted by seancannot:I agreed we need to be confident ... but you should also agreed we are over complacent... think some of the policy maker just reliase how their policy are flawed , look at how the chopper are downed in iraqi ... will our airborne cavarly guardsman be defeated.. how israeli tank are mauled with RPG and rocket at lebanon ... what will happen to our armour infantry
The things is that we alway take victory for granted in certain way we do have advantage... in a real out war ... the msia cannot be taken lightly...
I advocate we should respect our opponent and they are no easy push over.
