How will a typical Singapore's response to immediate threat be like if based on Israel's scenario in 1967.

Pre-emptive strike to attempt to dismember the opponent's air force.
Gain total air superiority.
Ground element to push aggressively forward with armoured units...
End war quickly and use the ground gained as bargaining chips when enemy sue for peace. -

AP-D20 drones (20mm cannons with sensors) and AP-D12.7 drones (12.7mm HMG with sensors) will be air deploy on strategic locations. These drones will scan their areas and fire on any humans without an electronic ID...
Hell...it will be only a 6 hour war. The rest of 5 days and 18 hours will be spent on negotiations. Why need 5 days plus? Because our enemy keep changing their terms of surrender at the last moment!!! -

2nd week assume we achieve first objectives prepared for D- Day Sea borne assult on southern flank - destroy and leave.
3rd weeks - Northern trust final destination KL.

It will be different.
The 6-day War took place in the open desert.
Ours, if we are lucky, will be in the jungles and plantations of MY.
Mobilising and massing of troops and weapons by MY will not go unnoticed.
How will SG respond?
How will MY attack? -
Deploy commando to destory all enemy military installation plus stronghold such as commumication ...

Rumors of war and the whole economy collapse... those that made plans, will go and live in their overseas homes... this is the fragile Singapore that the P*P government has built. A house of cards.
That could be why they are trying to take as much as possible before the collapse (pay increase). Certainly they know more than us... that is also the system they built, where information is reserved for themselves. -

i think things will be like D-day.....the 1st 24 hours are the only 24 hours that will really matter.
A combined air and land strike. Air to take out communication and power facilities as well and a quick rolling strike to drive as deep as possible with our armour and guards
Infantry following up with some armour support to take land in the south....maybe to as far north as Malacca.
sit back and wait for diplomatic solution.
Honestly just a threat to destorying country's,any country's economy for a few years will be quite enough.
Oh by the way the 6-day war wasnt really 6 days hah Israel had it won in 3 or 4...the last 2 days was a blatant land grab on their part. -

better try to conclude the war as fast as we can. If the war drag more than a week we are in deep sheit. I doubt the malay will ask for negotiation. If they can wait that long to destroy the communist terrorist they can certainly will take their time with us. i say unless they were completely destroyed (nuke if can lol) they can wage attrition war on us so badly that the american battling the iraqi insurgent looks like paintball.

The israelis arab war in 67 was fought for 132 hours. We will not, should not take 6 days!
What would be our objective of any possible war? I think we only need to destroy the war machines on the other side, occupy some land to act us buffer against future threats, and secure the Straits of Malacca.
We have no intention to occupy their land, so no fear of fighting war of attrition. -
cannot attack M'sia, we advance too fast, push them way up north, our dear fren Sonthi will get ideas about sending troops down south to give a hand. tt paranoid over-zealous old man!

If we are coming in, 2-3days or even less is enough to advance deep up north. Some of our forces are expected to `fly' deep into Matland. How they do it is a patented secret.
It is a totally different scenario when you are talking about a full-fledge war as compared to a guerilla insurrection like the one with communists. The SAF maintains the capability to completely push back the clock counters in Matland by decades. You are talking about a dysfunctional or perhaps non-existant economy, abandoned cities, a hobbled or non-existant military, starving people and decades for recovery; let alone being left behind by the world.
Any notion of a united resistant is untenable. It may appear early on but will disappear soon enough. To the contrary, you will see different groups coming forward from time to time and some disappearing later and mostly at odds at one another. It would be good for Singapore to plant the seeds of hatred among such groups and cultivate some. The entity called Matland would simply vanish. This is a scenario that keeps repeating time and time again in various places around the world. Anyway, Matland is not united in the first place in spite of the ultra-Umno princes' claims that they are. The fault lines are easily discernible.
And yes, the incumbent MATland government(with whatever little power and authority they have left)will sue for peace. Otherwise, whatever credibility they have would vaporize. And groups hungry for power will take over.
Singapore would plausibly be hurt in the process but as mentioned by many others, this is a last resort when confronted with certain doom. The best thing to do of out of a bad scenario. The important thing is that singapore would survive. And yes, Singapore can hold on to the occupied territories for a long time indeed; much to the sufferance to the conquered people. Something that many will find acceptable when survivability is at stake. -

We may not be able to get element of surprise.
first we are small island so lack of depth to hide if we enmass forces chances is that enemy will know. If we fly, southern island early warning system will detect. So to over come the element of surprise. You need elite forces to blow up what needs to be blow up. You need some troops to be in these island so that whatever forces in the island will not post a threat to mainland sing.
Before moving northward you need to content with the south. It is reasonable to assume that 3rd party will parachute to JB to support its friends. Done it before on our national day.
It is also reasonable to assume that we need to protect southern flank before pushing north. So you would need Navy to block the south to prevent reinforcement.
While all these are happening. RSAF will be contented with Migs29, Hawk, SU30. with R-77 (that is if they are maintained and trained) to gain air superior in the first day of war. hopfully they expand their R-77 to our F-5 and not on our F-16. If they will try to take out our airborne early warning. That will be devastated as first see first Kill will be out.
while all these are happening, Astros will be raining down on our enmass forces given that they might already know where we hide. But we might not be able to take out their astros because it is beyond our artillary range. What is left is our air forces to conduct search and destroy their launches.
In the mids of all these activities you need to launch D-day style seaborne assult on the north.
You think SAF command and logistics is strong enough to support 2 front?
once element of suprise is gone i think it will take more than 6 days to wrap up. -

For one our mobilizing a large part of our Reserve forces cannot be done quietly, there will be a large exodus of men from the workforce....
And then there is a problem of housing these men, Singapore is so small, it is just not possible to "hide" these deployment....
And all the time we are assuming that any potential "enemy" will do "nothing" and let us mobilize to full strength....
