Let's say it is mandatory for you to serve in an army - your only choice being that you can choose any army of any nationality, any period. Your race can even change to fit into that army.
Can be past, present or future.
Would you prefer a peactime arrmy, or a wartime army? -

Among other things, I would like to have been a British soldier during the founding of Singapore or Hong Kong. Although there was not much action other than small disturbances, I would really love to see Singapore and Hong Kong at its birth.
