The logistics of doing so is not cost-effective, and interoperability in any mission will be a problem. Currently, we can share common spares and repair tooling.Originally posted by justdoit77:abit OT here. Actually instead of buying F15 from US, singapore should have bought SU30 from russia. SU30 is more capable and powerful then F15 and yet only a portion of the cost of F15.
Thought our F15SG have the most advanced AESA along with full weapon suites when they are delivered? F15SG was touted to be the best Eagle in the series...Originally posted by Arapahoe:some information between F/A 18 super Honet II vs F15-E from other forum.
Quote" The Raytheon AESA brings the capability for simultaneous air-to-air and air-to-ground operation and, starting with Lot 30, two-seat F/A-18Fs will have the advanced crew station, which decouples the front and rear pits. "The front-seater can sanitise the airspace while the rear-seater conducts an air-to-ground campaign," Both crew members will have the joint helmet-mounted cueing system.
Just another little box of tricks that the F-15E Beagle can't do.
Nobody seems worried that the avionics architecture on the F-15 is inferior, they just look at the outside skin and go "wow, doesn't that look fast". Quote"
The F-15E and the F-15SG are completely different in ability. The SG has a more advanced AESA package than the Superbug. Don't forget that we may still have yet to enhance it with Israeli modifications like our current F-16C/D Blk52+. The SG is also a twin-pilot plane.Originally posted by Arapahoe:some information between F/A 18 super Honet II vs F15-E from other forum.
