Are bullpups more prone to chamber explosions?

That one i dont know -but- i do suspect the chamber explosion from a bullpup will hurt more.

In this particular case, the firer didn't assembled the weapon fully and thus causing the chamber explosion so its not conclusive for one to say that bullpups are more prone to chamber explosions.Originally posted by chino65:Are bullpups more prone to chamber explosions? -
All i can say is sar21 is not really battle tested unlike the tar21 and israel's weapon should be more reliable and better in quality as they have been fighting in many wars for nation survival.

The current rifle the Brits are using are certainly tested in battle, but does this mean it is automatically better then a rifle that has not been battle tested?
In the end it's down to the design of the weapon, being battle tested or not simply reveals if it's a good design or not.
Truth is, all weapons, no matter how reliable can and will experience chamber explosions if the conditions are right. Even the super reliable AK can have chamber explosions... with bullpups the risk of injury is far higher as the explosion tends to take place right beside the user's head.
And has the TAR really gone through serious battle testing?
Not that the TAR is bad, which it's not... but it seems you are talking hyperbole most of the time. -
think the brits rifle went thru a major revamped rite on the design or something before costing tens of millions pounds for all the rifles after lots of defects were reported by servicemen.
