  UAE Buys Mobile Mortars

  The United Arab Emirates has awarded International Golden Group (IGG), a local manufacturer, a 390 million-dirham ($106 million) contract to supply the military with the Agrab mobile mortar system. It is the UAEÂ’s largest deal announced at IDEX on Feb. 19.
  
  The Agrab, or Scorpion, is a joint venture between IGG and ST Kinetics from Singapore, which manufactures the 120mm Super Rapid Advanced Mortar System; South AfricaÂ’s Denel, which supplies the Arachnida fire control system; and BAE Systems, makers of the RG 31 Armored Utility Vehicle.
  The Agrab has a range of 8,200 meters.

  We sold mortars before...can always go and check out the UN Website..under disarmament/conventional arms sales or something like that. It lists (quite) accurately all declared weapon import/exports from registered countries.
  
  I realise our OLD french artillery are still with us...those 105mm... no one wants french stuff. Heh.

  IDEX: UAE buys 120 mm mortar system
  The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has awarded an AED390 million (USD106 million) contract to the International Golden Group (IGG) for the supply of 48 Agrab (Scorpion) 120 mm mobile mortar systems (MMS).
  
  The Agrab consists of the BAE Systems OMC RG-31 Mk 5 4 x 4 mine-protected vehicle fitted with a new three-person fully enclosed cab.
  
  Mounted to the rear is a Singapore Technologies Kinetics (STK) 120 mm Super Rapid Advanced Mortar System
