Your face look like Gus Dur- lah
.Do you know that Gus Dur (Abdul Rahman Wahid ) got Chinese blood?
Islam is not just a religion, its a way of life.If we try to change muslims way of living they would naturally feel threatened. All religion teaches good but they also separate people, the religious teachers are to blame for fanning hate and violence not the religion. The best way is to learn a bit of each others way of life so we dont step onto other people tail. Also its advisable to have local guide when you are a new face.Wah if you kena color like that in Batam.....better not go to Sulawesi

I was with my family, as my brother-in-law built a seaside bungalow there.
The immigration officer didn't like my face and refused to stamp my passport and told me to "balek rumah".
I simply pretended not to understand him and smiled until one of our local contacts spoke to him and got things worked out.
My advice is when getting off the boat, don't wait till last. The immigration sons of sows pick on the last people to extort money as there are less witnesses or impatient crowds qeueing up behind.
A walk through the village - no vice, very Islamic - with mosque and prayer speakers everywhere, was quite unpleasant as even the kids have scornful faces for us Chinese Singaporeans.
During a bargaining session my loud-mouthed older sister had with some malay fishermen over the price of fish, things got very nasty and we suddenly found ourselves confronted by 8 very pissed off fishermen in their 20's and 30's.
We were inside their hut by the sea, in a remote malay village we reached by motor boat. They threw the fish down and started kicking at things and talking angrily in bahasa. These people gave me the impression that they are fishermen only by day, other things by night.
My sister, dressed in brightly coloured clothes and thinking she's in Chinatown, Singapore, did not sense the danger. I told her loudly to just shut the xxxx up and we made a cautious retreat. The anger in my voice when I spoke to my sister made the fishermen felt a little better as their male pride were probably offended by this badly-dressed and rude Cina woman.
In spite of all SG government is trying to do for the Indos, it continues to be money wasted. (Of course, you have people like my sister countering the governments PR effort by making Singaporeans thoroughly unliked all over the world.)
These Indos and MY people blame all their problems on us, and want nothing more than to see us suffer even if they gain nothing tangible from it. So guys, take your NS seriously. If they fu.ck around with us, make sure they end up as fertilizer.[/b][/quote]
