Primus and Israeli Sholef?

I was just running around in Wikipedia and chanced upon this picture:
And here's the Primus:
They are incredibly similar. The gun on the Primus was reverse engineered and produced in Singapore (if I'm not wrong originally based off the Soltam gun). The Israeli Sholef isn't in production (politics came into play and the US in the mix) but I wonder if we purchased tech from the Israeli and used it in the Primus. -

The Primus seems to share more components with the M109 then the Sholef... and it seems that more or less most SPHs look the same.
But of course, under the table could have seen some internal components being of Israeli origin... we never know and it's not as if MINDEF is going to be open about this kind of cooperation. -
Well, that is because we are using the old M109 chasis. Otherwise, the turret is supposedly Singaporean designed. I did scrutinise the pictures in the past. I concluded we didnt copy the *exterior*. The gun looks similar but if i remember correctly, we use 155mm/39 calibre while Israel use 155/52mm calibre for SPH. The difference ? 10 KM+-

If I'm not wrong, the longest barrel mounted on a M109 chassis is 39". The Americans tried switching to the 52" but the chassis couldn't handle the long barrel. Most of the 52" SPA used modified MBT chassis.

Not strange at all..... when I was still in the navy.... quite a lot of our system is of Israeli origin. They want to keep it low key..... but more or less a open serect. -

Merkava Chassis

The Primus is built on a modified M109A6 Paladin chassis, with a BX variant hull and our indigenous turret AFAIK..

Wait you Sure? I hearn one of their artillery Pieces are based on the Merkava Chassis -

1. Our Primus is using M109 chassis. Turret is supposed to be designed in Spore.
2. However, I will not be surprised we got a little help for the Primus turret from friends. No point reinventing the wheel. We also had other help designing our SAR 80, 88 and Ultimax. Also, note some resemblance between SAR21 and Tavor rifle - dont know if our friends were involved. A lot of our sub-systems are from friends who are discreet and do not announce to the world to whom, what and how many weapons systems they sell to.
3. Note that the Primus has limited traverse. Its turret cannot rotate full 360 degrees ! Almost all other SP guns have 360 degree traverse. -
Heard that our Computer inside the Primus...Came from or designed from the M2 Bradely

how much is the traverse locked at?

I believe traverse in Primus 155 mm is limited to plus minus 17 degrees only, which is a very surprising limitation given that almost all modern tracked self propelled 155 s have full 360 degrees traverse.
