just that the squeeshy trigger pull is a big turn off for some, but hey, full auto when you squeeze hard, no need for semi-auto switch.
when is the next time a civilian can test fire the SAR-21? i'll like to get a hands on experience personally with the SAR-21 ^^
Actually just about any rifle using a scope would be easier to shoot then normal iron sights. The raygun bullpup design (SAR-21, TAR-21, CR-21) can certainly trace their design lineage from the Aug.
But ugh, the Aug fire selector was an innovative design but they never really got it to work in pratice very well. The extra trigger pull to switch to auto tended to make the aim a lot less stable which is already questionable on auto. The rifle itself didn't work that well in the tropics, the linkage rods made the trigger pull sluggish (and sometimes broke), and more importantly chamber explosions with the weapon tended to put the user at serious risk as the rifle would come apart like a frag grenade about where the user's head was.
But all in all, despite its shortcomings it was an excellent weapon considering when it was design. And the fact that it inspired next gen bullpup designs is indicative of that.
