Anti thais not my idea it's their's , i can't force it but if they start we need to be careful and unconiously we are involve with their anger too !!! But Sin. are very well with anger control , so dun worry too much just shoot .

Can't help but talk about football.
Looks like we really need a 2-goal lead in order to convince them that we can truly beat them.
Pity about the thai mishap... but they way they handled the whole ref decision was a tatical lose all from the start. If they insisted on their protest Singapore would have won automatically (not to mention disgrace their own team of their treatment of the whole system). But even if they had stopped their protest and gone on with the game, which they did... the wind in their sails were mostly gone.
After their own dubious goal (which exploited a distracted Singapore defence after protesting a penalty not awarded for a foul), they pretty much had the Lions off balance and were on the offensive, their protest had the net result of distrupting their offensive, blunting their mental focus on the match, as well as cooling them down from all the exercise (the Lions were keeping warm waiting for them to return). After the protest the thai team were certainly in no condition to take on the Lions, as the Singaporean post-protest dominance of the match showed.
Ironically the thai goalie would have stood a better chance of stopping that penalty had they not gone on the protest... if they didn't intend to go all the way through with their protest, they pretty much seal their own fate... which they did.
Guess this is what happens when you don't keep a cool head, but half the battle's over only, they will certainly learn from their mistakes and it is well within their skill to make a comeback.
I have a feeling it's going to be a brutal match, the thais certainly aren't going to leave any of their tricks behind. In any case it's going to be an interesting match. -

Hate to think of this......but seriously, what you think will be the response if, I mean IF, some Sing supporters were to be 'physically abused' or worse, Sing fan is on the receiving end and blood is shed?
Of course, the Sing govt will play down the scenario given the 'ASEAN spirit'...but I felt that the SIng govt should not act dumb now (with or w/o physical contact is made over the weekends) and signal that if Thailand wanted us out, the SIng govt SHOULD either cancel all ongong commerical involving Thailand, all cultural exchanges and signal its intention to let go some investments there etc.....IMO
I believe that Sing has been ALWAYS the conveinent whipping boys (in SEA), is b'cos even when threats and baseless allegations are thrown at us, the Sing govt chose to act dumb and only refute them in official letters...(as if people bothers!) but the normal exchanges are left status quo (in short unchanged)...so much so that portrays the impression that 'AR....Singapore is toothless and WON'T hit back one lah!...so, No worries!'. -
Singapore is the main force behind a more forceful future ASEAN Community. It's time we walked the talk if the idiots running Thailand decide to destablise the region and act childish in the context of a sporting match.

the thais are a very emotional people, just like the fillipinos, it's just a spontaneous out-pouring of emotions that's all, a year from now no one would even remember anything, least of all the demonstrating students ... the university babes hanging out at the bars at khao san road would still be as welcoming to Singaporeans boys then ...
and what the thai military junta is saying and doing is more for domestic consumption than anything else, note that they are trying to prevent long term damage to bilateral relations at the same time, telling us that our military ties and tourism etc are unaffected .... -
