Hawkeye veers off runway

there is a small little article in today's straits times home section saying that a hawkeye veered off the runway at TAB and the aircraft suffered some damages. but said nothing else other than that. wonder how's the aircraft now.

woah how did this happen?is the pilot going to sign 1206? the hawkeye is like the most expensive piece of equipment that singapore has.

Can replace with new fighter plane Jian-10 developed by China? Or EuroFighter Typhoon? Advanced fighters with long range radars like the new US F-35 may not even need Hawkeye to guide them to enemy targets.

Maybe they will send to the budget airlines and converted to budget passenger plane.

This is nothing, many years ago, there was one Hawkeye that actually belly landed,eventually it was repaired and back to operation.
This one just veered off the runway, probably some demage to landing gear, not as serious as the last one. -
Har? 2nd incident involving the Hawkeye verring off the runway?
Is there a problem with the brakes of the Hawkeye or the runway is simply too 'smooth'?
If it is pilot error, it is another thing, but if the fault is a non-human factor....someone is not looking hard at the 'source' of the problem . -
our hawkeyes have been in service for a long time. The airforce is looking for a replacement for that aircraft. we should get one by the time the F-15s are ready.

i think bcos of the revolving radar on top, it makes the plane top heavy haha...
err...i thot the Hawkeye is the poor man's verson of the AWAC that the US have? Since SIA has so many planes, get one and retrofit the radar onto a used 747-400 or something, looks better & more garang. -

E-3 Sentry perhaps? Or maybe the Israeli Phalcon mounted on an Airbus plane?

I think the replacement will either be a UAV replacement or most probably a "flat" Phased-array radar mounted a a gulfstream type commercial jet.

i prefer a mobile platform, unlike the UAV control room which has to be stationed at 1 place to be operating.

Many reports of Singapore to use Gulfstream and version of Phalcon to replace E2Cs . Also reports of buying Global Hawk.
