Got a question which I'm v.curious about. The bomb shelters within HDB Blocks,are they placed 1 on top of the other? If so, the bomb takes out the other structures around the bomb shelter, how do they escape?

SCDF Ariel Platform ladders. AFAIK, their tallest ladders go up to 53m , which is just about 18 ~19 storeys. I am not sure if SCDF have any other taller ladders. Maybe the rest would get heli evac

Yes, i think this question has been asked many times before. I guess you meant that the HDB home bomb shelters are stacked on each other to form a vertical column and when the rest of the building is bombed out there is only this column of bomb shelters left .Originally posted by SpecOps87:Got a question which I'm v.curious about. The case of having only the column of bomb shelters left is very unlikely as the rest of the HDB block will not collapse so easily (as claimed by HDB) unless its a sustained bombarding and delibrate targeting of the block by the enemy. One or two of conventional rockets from MLRS,rounds from tube artillery or air ordance won't be able to take down a HDB block of flats so easily. -

stations will be pressurized to prevent outside air to go in.

3.SCDF should tell people DO and DONT inside bomb shelter
Inside HS,it is air tight without ventilation.Avoid talk loud and No cooking etc.
Aged and kids etc must be trained stay inside the stuffy HS.
