Well in that case we can buy the Zubr from the Russians, this huge hovercraft have the highest loading capacity of all hovercrafts. Very good for forced amphibious landings and humanitarian missions.
If we are looking for force projection beyond our region then one which can fit into our LST will be ideal.

so far no news probably mean the project is abandoned or prototype (that ST was building) was vetoed by some top brass....
perhaps, there was some flaw / does not fit into the defense / attack doctrine that was meted out? -

There is also no news of the Primus until the day the unit operating it turns operational.
The media is tightly controlled in Singapore unlike in other 1st world nations,for David to snap that shot of ACV-1 'accidentally' and publish it in the papers means that Mindef is confident enough of the project's eventual success. They put it in such a way so that there is news but not officially acknowledged. This way they do not have to directly deal with the potential political repercussions from neighbouring countries about the very likely offensive nature of such a development. In short, they are smart! -
but in the first place, if the project is supposedly to be secret / confidential, the boat should not be so easily snapped. certain precautionary measures would have been taken.....by both the SAF & ST.

Now that you understand that you should have no problem understanding that the supposed 'accidental' taking of that pic is actually authorised by Mindef. Like i have said, our media is tightly controlled, to allow a pic and info to be leaked into the mainstream national media ( eg. Straits Times) unintentionally is near impossible.
