Singapore Armoured Regiment Organisation and Equipment

im interested to know about the organisation and equipment of a SAF armoured regiment. things like
1) how many men in the regiment,
2) how many tanks,
3) what types of tanks and how many of them,
4) how are the men and tanks divided into platoons/companies/squadrons, 5) what are the different elements in the regiment
please help! thanks!

Ans : Depend whether you consider the cook, the canteen operator etc.
2) how many tanks,
Ans : Again, depend whether you consider the water tank..
3) what types of tanks and how many of them,
Ans : heehhehehe
4) how are the men and tanks divided into platoons/companies/squadrons,
Ans : on a first come first serve basis
5) what are the different elements in the regiment
Ans : look into the periodic table..

Exact TOE is classified.

You should Roughly Know the Hardware... But there are other things we public people don't know about...
1) how many men in the regiment,
2) how many tanks,
3) what types of tanks and how many of them,
4) how are the men and tanks divided into platoons/companies/squadrons, 5) what are the different elements in the regiment

Which SAR under which division can say or not?
So far, I only know 40 SAR belongs to 8 SAB, which in turn comes under 3 DIV. -

You can get the information from books such as "Defending the Lion City" by Tim Huxley, or alternatively go surfing for it.
Heres an unofficial SAF Armour webpage. An amateur page, but consist of relatively accurate information.

would it be better to add them to the armoured regiments, maybe 1 or 2 companies of leopards to each regiments?
or would it be better to form a whole new unit with them? i've heard somewhere that the SAF is going to form a new armoured division is that true? -

Maybe a new Armored brigade or Bn. I suppose a purely Leopard2 Bn would absorb all 66 tanks. Perhaps the entire brigade will be supplemented with BX2s and other fighting vehicles. Heavy armored brigade maybe? *shrugs* -
once reported in ZAOBAO of some 70 vehicles and some 700 strong men.
at least correct at that time---no secret. -
btw our tank platoon is like the US right? armoured infantry and tank platoon have 4 vehicles each?

42 SAR is an Armoured Battle Group (ABG) and comprises the battalion headquarters, 3 Combat Teams, 1 Support Company and 1 Headquarters Company. In total, the ABG has about 700 men and 70 vehicles. The ABG is equipped with Bionix, Ultra M113, and 12 SM1 tanks, and a number of support transport vehicles.

Each combined arms division should have one Armd Bde. How come only two Armd Bde (4th and 8th). Where is the third Armd Bde?

The "32nd Armd Div" is in the Book Defending the Lion City. There is no official news yet....
But with the recent annoucments:
Primus SPH
ATTC Mortar carrier
30mm Bionix II
Leo2A4
I worn't be surprised if we are trying to form a Armd Div.
