Why there is irregular timing is simply due to on standby. The enemy won't tell you when they are coming you know.Originally posted by Isis:Why is the hour irregular? erm it is obvious i never go army b4...

The only recent death of a pilot in the RSAF was in May 2004, during that F16 accident. Prior to that, the RSAF had quite a commendable safety record.Originally posted by Isis:is it true that death of trainee isn't reported in news?
Any person know what is the death rate like for pilot?
im not so sure whether i can even pass through the initial round, just asking for career choices.
Bro, Isis is a lady who wish to sign on as a pilot so she does get to choose which vocation she wants. However, whether RSAF wants to accept her or not is another matter.Originally posted by saltedveggie:can get to choose merh? you talk until like you can get to choose your vocation sia.
Originally posted by Isis:Haha! Well you can sign up for civilian pilot, then you can plan your overseas shopping spree or holiday! As civilian pilot you get to fly to cities and towns while as an air force pilot you mainly visit uninhabited training grounds such as the deserts in USA. So whats your choice?

The accident was published in the news. I don't think at this current time, any incident especially if there is death will ever be covered up, because the media would probrably get their hands on it in no time. Its prob wiser for them not to withhold too much details.
dude, if you really want to be a pilot in the RSAF, these are the least of your worries manOriginally posted by Isis:Hi, erm what kind of army lifestyle and working environment ??
always waiting on call mah?
5 days working day mah?
how many hours of works?
how many holiday are we granted?
Nobody died what. I think that was the question asked. Of course throughout the history of RSAF there will be people losing their lives unfortunately, likewise goes for all the armed services around the world.Originally posted by zaxis:What about "That S211 drop down @ Johor" what happen to that incident?
