SAF - more focus on Armour

  First the Bionix.
  
  And then the Primius SPH.
  
  And then the Tracked mortar carrier Bronco.
  
  Followed by Bionix II followed quickly by the Leo2A4.
  
  There seems to be so much focus on Armour nowadays.
  
  I can really imagine an "Armoured" Division taking shape. What do you guys think?

  Mayeb Singapore Army might want to change their current strategy to those of the Germans, using tanks as spear head weapons with Infantry as back up.

  Given our status as an island nation, it has always been a mystery to me why we don't have too large a navy or airforce. After all, the navy and airforce will be the first layer of defence.

  Well to be absolutely accurate, these 2 above belonged to artillery.
  
  But of course the drivers and mechanics are initially trained in an armour camp.
  
  With the SPH and MBT, the focus is now on creating a true mobile armoured fist which can strike swiftly and desicively. This is in contrast to the previous mechanised infantry which we have for many years.

  I thought we had already an Amoured Division. Its 25th isn't it? Everytime see it being published in Pioneer magazine.
  
  Wow! If its true, we have 5Divisions in hand plus an Amoured Brigade.

  given singapore's size, i would say the airforce/navy are more than adequate. what's the use of them when singapore can be overrun in a matter of days? with armour to backup the infantry, the chances of an overrun are greatly reduced.
