happened sometime last week. managed to get really close. i have a crap cam so it luks a distance away. it circled n scanned the entire marina bayfront area 3 times.
if u see the 4th pic on the extreme right on the water there wer 2 naval light assault crafts (got the name right?).
wonder wats happened. -

what naval assualt craft.. the only vessel i see is a bum boat.. used by tourist to look at merlion.

If this is for the NDP 07, this will be a wonderful addition to the parade as i don't think such demo have been done before.

If you look at the cargo bay, it is opened. So maybe they are practicing dropping something into the water. Dunno what....

And it did not look like an exercise to me.. such ex should not be conducted in the Bay area! Interesting! -

dun even know if we have this capability, but hey.. -
The last time I watched them do that on discovery channel, dunno how they get all the water out after that.

The Chinook is watertight and fully capable of landing on water for special operations and similar missions. These special kit will include some rubber inflated in the ramp to keep the water out. -

used for insertion and interception. -
