PLA looking like US Army

Why is PLA doing its "darndest" to look like the US Army?
As you all know, PLA has chosen a camo pattern very close to the US woodland pattern. THen they adopted a US kevlar style helmet.
I used to have a pic of some PLA specops in US chocolate chip desert camo and floppy hats. Later on I also found some pics of PLA troops training with NORINCO-made M-4s.
If not for the rifle they use, from a distance they would look like US or Taiwan troops.
Since they consider both these people enemies, i wonder why they are going all out to look like them?
New jockey cap, like US marines.
This is the second PLA vehicle I've seen that looks like a Humvee. -

There will be a lot of friendly fire on both sides in the event of a conflict.

last week the PLA and the marines had a competition.
a chinese soldier beat the marines by 1 full minute in the 8-obstacle course.
another chinese soldier beat the marines in the sharpshooting competition. -
Which Marines? USMC?
U should see the PLA Special Opfor. Look like US Navy seals man. -
but the US has moved on the those digital camo liao so i'll consider it different hah.
Anyway man for man the US soldier is not the best,it's the overall package that makes them as good as they are. -

One video I saw was a mock battle. One trooper leapt up a broken section of a wall effortlessly with rifle forward. Ran up the incline formed by the broken wall and then ran along the wall firing his rifle from the hip until he leapt off at the other end. The wall was just wide enough for his 2 feet to run on.
Sure, he's trained for this demo for months, but it was still impressive.
I remember in our SOC we have a similar obstacle. It is made of logs and you walk up the incline and then run along its crooked length until you jump off. Just talking about it now gives me butterflies. -
More on the new People's Armed Police new "digital" camo. This time on a much more comely trooper.

But it is the way it is in China.
But it is for the same reason we say and write ANG MO KIO, instead of calling that area Red Tomatoes.
But it is changing in China. Their police now wear flak vests that says POLICE in english (as well as proper Chinese, of course.) -

Well the nice thing about the PLA is that they can clone some of the more mundane pieces of military technology for vastly lower prices.
I remember china super soakers being nearly as good as the american ones and vastly cheaper (not to mention more reliable and easier to replace)

When I was in toy shop and saw many toy helicopters , planes and guns ... the stamp stated "Made in China" and there are pictures of US GI, Apache, Tomcat and even US aircraft carrier..
This show China is jealous of US military superiority yet they acknowledge it.. -
