They don't make good flight sims like they used to. I remember Jane's ATF Gold as so much fun it is a crime they didn't make more games like it. Nowadays we get the more dumbed down "military" shooters that are more common. I miss the days of dropping MK82 Air Seven packs on tanks. -
u guys got any online war games? like raycrash or shattered galaxy? i was kind of looking for those kind of games where u build ur own ship and head out to battle with other online peoples ship, nt sure wether those kind of games exist..

Wing Commander anyone? That was my primary school days!!! I remember going to toa payoh to copy all the secret operations series and those days one game is like 20discs!
Gunship 2000 was great stuff too. I like using the mast to peek at enemies from behind a hill.
Strike commander was quite good too.
Whats the best Flight simulator now? Any recommendations? Don't want the overly complicated type, but enough sophistication to feel 'involved'?
Working life now, its hard to find the time to really indulge in gaming anymore. But i'm missing the times..... -

After that came F-18 and F-16 and F-15 which i didnt quite like as much.
I missed Longbow 2 also hah.1 of the best chopper games around.
Oh and Red Baron!! come on a classic! hah too bad they dont make games like they used to.Now it's all kill kill kill or mindless blasting of people. -

Free game that runs on quake or unreal engine (I forgot which, but the download is 2.5 gigs
), you go for courses to gain access to missions (the darn airborne qualification is hellish, you need to execute a night jump into a circle about 3 meter wide using a static line with limited manueverability). Once qualified you can play various missions online with others (standard CS style: 2 teams - Offence or Defence). The game was created by the US army in order to appeal to teenagers to help recruitment

Empire at Wars... ugh.. that game gives me queasies... It's so arcade like.
