12th Nov is Remebrance Sunday

  A Remembrance Day Service will be held on Sunday, 12 November 2006 at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Kranji. Please spare some time to commemorate the sacrifices made. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please arrive by 7.15 a.m. Parking will be available on the vacant land to the south of the cemetery. Please follow the signposts.

  Now I am not saying we should attend or start wearing red poppies, but on Sunday, please at least take a moment to to reflect on the sacrifices made by all the Commonwealth men and women in the great war and in subsequent conflicts!

  I think the actual day is today. A minute of silence is observed at 1100hrs GMT on 11/11 every year, if my memory serves me right.

  Nope. 11 of nov is one thing but special services have always been held on remembrance sunday which is the 2nd sunday of nov.

  I did not dispute that special service is to be held on Sunday. I had said that the actual day for Remembrance Day is on the 11th Nov. Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
