  France launches new ICBM, now ahead of its closest rival, UK..
  
  We now have 4 powers with ICBMs in its arsenals..
  
  (US, Russia, France and China)
  
  UK got only IRBM and submarine based BM.

  I believe UK opted for SLBM instead of ICBM bcos they have no space to build silos? And definitely a force of SSBNs is more mobile.

  Well, I have the impression the British have US Tridents with ICBM range mounted in their Resolution class SSBNs as their nuclear deterrent. I think it is more accurate to say France is one of the only 4 nations in the world to make their own ICBMs.

  Survivability of SLBM is higher than the fix silo launched ICBM. The modern ICBMs are mostly mobile
