  I think its a bad idea to mix politics with military needs. The military should concentrate on getting the equpment which best suits their needs with an affordable price instead of placing too much emphasis on the country of origin.

  Israeli UAV developmental history actually started in 1973 when their military intelligence personel unofficially attached a camera to a remote controlled toy airplane. Their purpose was to spot Arab military deployments.
  
  The toy contraption managed to capture the photos, but the bosses refused to accept the evidence, leading to a near defeat when they were caught by surprise in the 1973 Oct attack by Egypt and Syria.
  
  Indons can buy their Israeli UAVs.....and then scramble their Russian built squadron of 4 Sukhoi planes, afterwhich the pilots can throw stones at the enemy because the planes got no guns or missiles......yet
