Falcon Base Ammo Dump Exploding like a nuke video

This is a video taken by a US soldier, of which 4 Rockets were fired by insurgents into the Baghdag Falcon base (which has the biggest arsenal)... The US Govt says there were no Casualties.. but Media is saying that they covered it up.. claimed 300 dead, which isn't a surprise really. About 30 tanks and Apc were said to be towed away.
During Vietnam The US Govt claimed that 54,000 soldiers has died , but a count was done at the Vietnam Veteren Memorial and the count came up 20,000 more.

the explosions looked real to me but nothing at all like nuke explosions...more like large fireworks.
there are 58,253 names on The Vietnam Veteran's Memorial...i'm not sure where the threadstarter came up with his figures.

The exact thing happened in Khe Shah almost forty yrs ago....one of the mortar shell hit the central ammo base, destroying 97% of their ammo while a marine force of 6000 was besieged by 20,000 NVAs..
Since then this has happened many many times again..tot they have a Center for Lesson Learned? -

Just curious...why do they space the ammo dump so closely together instead of spacing them further apart?Such that in the event of a motar/arty/rocket/missile strike, the damage will be limited?
