Dun ever assumeOriginally posted by huaichien:Sadly there are no aviation enthusiasts or organisations that can keep and maintain the airworthiness of such historical aircraft in Singapore. There used to be a collection of ex-RAF Meteor, Vampire and other jets in Sentosa, which were subsequently sold (or were they given?) off to a foreign buyer.
In more recent times, ex-RSAF Skyhawks and Hunters were either sold for scrap or sold to foreign buyers. While a few of these are preserved in the RSAF museum and polytechnics, I believe none are preserved for airworthiness.
yeah who knows ? maybe for contigencies ?Originally posted by sbst275:Dun ever assume
