  STOCK UP OF FOODS DURING PEACE TIME--NEVER HEARD BEFORE

  1.sg govt breaks another world records by insert flyer in PUB bills
  to ask every household to stock up 2 weeks of foods,
  saying the foods will be useful if pple have to stay at home in an emergency.
  ,but the ministry of Trade and Industry did not specify what kind of emergency.
  Today 24.09.2006 Sunday Strait Times.page 9.
  have u recalled any govt in history asks people to do this during
  peace time?
  
  2.MRT TRAIN BLAST ---SO scary
  
  another scary message is the video clip shown in MRT station.
  ''terrorist'' planting a ''bomb'' in MRT carriages before
  he use handphone to activate it ,when he is far away from the mrt.

  and the bomb really go off---so scary.
  
  Another poster in MRT station shows an old time bomb hidden in bag just
  make me laugh.The grand mum era bomb shall be
  replaced by home made bomb or C4 to make it more
  convincing.
  
  there is another clip just show the trains blasts in Spain,London and
  India recently and remind people here just be careful.It shows
  a terrorist in MRT train walk away from his bags quickly despite
  other passengers reminds him to take it.
  Passengers pushed the red emerengency and talk to the drivers.
  
  WHAT IS THE MESSAGE?

  seriously.. i dunno wat to think of the food stocking caution tat has being inserted into the pub bills..
  
  my uncle in new york tells me there has not being any food stocking exercise in state recently tat he can remember..
  
  the koreans in seoul aren;t stocking food either, b4 or after the nuke test??
  
  so wat is the real purpose of food stocking when countries that are in the 'hotter' zone than us are not panicking in any manner?

  dunt follow the crowd.just do what u think is right.
  
  in Western countries,it is politically incorrect to ask
  pple to do or not to do this or that.
  
  SKorea cant afford to call for pple to stock food
  for it will interpreted by pple that war is coming.....
  
  u know what happen: won woll drop to ground,
  pple fleeing SKorea,no foreign investment....
  
  2.Sg govt sure cant tell u the real reasons but
  do u think it is fun to print 1.20 million flyers to ask pple to stock up foods.
  
  3.i suggest stock up for infants and aged.

  Aiyah.......just some kind of civil defence exercise lah. What has NK nuclear warhead got to do with Singapore? Even if they want to bomb, they will bomb south korea. None of our business.
  It is good to have this kind of "training" so that in the event of real war, people won't panick.

  I think its a good idea to stock up on food n water as well. Even if nothing materialises, its good to have spare supplies around.
