Are all of us here (men) loves devices that bring death?

Why are generally men (some gals too...I know of a HCJC gal *quite chio my opinion as well as surprisely lady-like* who is well learned and versed in military hardware systems and history of wars) so engrossed in warfare and its hardware even though we knew that these devices brings death, destruction, pain and sufferings. I myself admited that, just like most of us here enjoy reading and learning about such stuff. But when i ask myself why I have no idea. Maybe it's because as male we are more aggressive, hence our nature and fascination for such things, or maybe because it's the toys guns and soldiers that we played in our childhood shaped what is our mind today? Hmmm let's discuss!

I like weapons, wargames, tactics, etc but so long as no one get hurt, it is just something of interest
But all wars that results in injuries, death and destructions are motivated by politicians, ideologies or believes.

Personally, I take to anything inorganic that flies (though birds are rather interesting as well), and also anything that goes boom or makes things go boom. But I still can't figure out why. ho hum -

It is one thing to read about war,weapons and other assorted stuff but it is completely other to see the actual brutalities of war. Personally, though I pretty much enjoy reading bout this kind stuff, I hope I NEVER have to experience war. Really, academic literature of war and stuff really makes war seem bloodless. Saying that, "XX Division took XX City" seriously doesn't reflect the pain and agony for the man in the field.

cuz the purpose in life is death.to achieve this purpose quicker,we use weapons of mass destruction to try end people lives.Its in our nature.
but usually it is used to end other ppls lives not our own..i wonder why?

Though I'm interested in hardware,training,doctrines of the military nature,I still feel that the best operation is one where the hostile forces when seeing us, will surrender without a single shot being fired. Though when I was little, the more deaths and maiming there is, the better.But now, I've come to realise that the best war is one which is fought without bloodshed.

Not sure why but I am a fan of aggression and violence. This I must admit. Not just big things. how about devices that keep peace?
by loving them, we learn more about how they can bring death, and as a result we learn to not to use them to bring death.

A weapon can be used for an offensive and defensive nature, which is determined by the user, not the weapon. All defensive weapons can be used offensively and vice versa. The important thing is that besides the training on the equipment, men on the ground have to be trained to think when is the right time to exercise deadly use of force. Sometimes it may not be necessary to fire directly at the hostile, but a warning shot would do. But then again, when to exercise the use of deadly force is also a very vague issue, as the rules of engagement change with every environment we are in. With localized conflicts, we may be engaging a shoot-on-sight policy and after walking 2/3 blocks, be changed into a fire unless fired upon policy.so training is crucial
