As far as I know, other than the Hong Kong Handover parade, the rifle has seldom seen official use and haven't been officially replacing the current assault rifle.Originally posted by equlus84:I heard the type 95 is a chiong version of the French FAMAS. But I also heard the rifle is encountering some problems, anibody noe wad is it?
He would photoshop the picture to make it look more dramatic and hence increase the chances of him being able to sell the pic?Originally posted by moca:For what ends would Xinhua photoshop this pic?
This is the first time I've seen the QBZ with a muzzle like this. From his stance it looked like he was firing a grenade.
But since all 3 weapons have this attachment, and there don't seem to be any aiming device for launching grenade, I am not sure that it is a grenade attachment.
in theory yes.Originally posted by tankee1981:Any chance our locally produced small arms such as the SAR-21 can fire rifle-launched grenades such as the one shown above?

but no.. it's too dangerous.
one blur co.ck can load a live round to launch the grenade.
Where did you hear this?Originally posted by Ponders:As far as I know, other than the Hong Kong Handover parade, the rifle has seldom seen official use and haven't been officially replacing the current assault rifle.
What i hear is that it was initially reserved for crack troops.
But whatever the story is, there is little talk about it as Chinese is still very secretive about their development.

Totally agree, think the M16/M203,SAR21/M203 combo still works best for delivery of grenades.Originally posted by Ponders:in theory yes.
