Is that a 6 wheelers in the first place???Originally posted by dork3d:The six-wheeled version or the eight-wheeled version?
Wikipedia is not the most credible of sources but i did saw a post of the purchase of Terrex here in sgforums last time, the post is provided by lionnoisy, maybe he can post it here again.Originally posted by sgf:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrex
For what its worth, this Wikipedia entry claims that "As of 2006, the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has decided to purchase 300 units to replace their ageing V-200 armoured vehicles."
Could it be the SAF is really exploring the possibility of using wheeled armour vehicles as a rapid deployed mechnanisation force? Some wad like a SG version of Terrex brigade or battalion. Btw, we must beware that the SAF is the the main recipient of ST made stuff. I mean ST won't be so stupid to send lots of money to do things that most probably dun have market, even for SAF. Anyway the market now is saturated with 8 wheeled vehicles.Originally posted by EXCO:The Terrex is indeed in SAF inventory. Can't give away too much here, but at the new IGTS (Infantry Gunnery Training Simulator) building, there is a mural made up of various INF weapons and situations, and the Terrex is prominently featured.
