Major WW2 Jap Warships @ Singapore Harbour

After the capture of Singapore, what are the major surface combatants deployed at Singapore.
Read about the heavy cruiser Haguno was once based here but sunk by the British in 1945.
Anybody got any more info? -
Light Cruiser KUMA spent a lot of time in this area in 1943 till her sinking off Penang in Jan 1944. Heavy Cruisers HAGURO and ASHIGARA were assigned to the Tenth Area Fleet in Feb 1945 and also spent quite a lot of time around Singapore. All 3 were sunk by British naval forces, HAGURO to RN destroyers and the other 2 to submarines.
In addition heavy cruisers MYOKO and TAKAO were left stranded in Singapore after being damaged in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Both unable to be repaired here (lack of materials/facilities) and impossible to tow back (too dangerous) and spent the rest of the war here as floating AA platforms. The British scuttled them in the Malacca Strait after the war.
Most major surface units of the IJN would have stopped by Singapore at one time or the other. The Mobile Fleet's carriers were here before the Battle of the Phillippine Sea.

Try to use Manaul FCS instead of the point&click automatic one...
very useful in the future if u gunning for battleships...

Another alt game to NF is Pacific Storm. Those who familiar with Total war series will have no prob understanding the concept in this game. However the difference is when u fight a naval battle, u can actually take control of ur units manually such as a torpedo bomber or a AA gunner. So combining real-time strategy with First person shooter simulator type game. Game review pretty good, got multiplayer online and sell here at 19.90 only

bought it at Tampines popular... actually most popular outlets should have it bah... anyway, have to thank a fellow forumner here for introducing the game...
A brief review... A new game concept to me, in the sense that it can be played on a strategic (planning, move units, buy stuff) and tactical level ( command individual units, and actually fly in a fighter cockpit!) and the controls are not unlike that of BF 1942... great!
Anyone who had played P.T.O on the Super NES way back in '94 should be familiar with the strategic aspects of the game, BTW PTO 2 is still my favourite wargame...
well, still experimenting with the game, but i should add that only a real pacific wargamer will appreciate the many technical aspects of the game, where one gets to decide on weapon or equipment upgrades on a unit... and oh! a little historical background on the war wouldn't hurt either... and one should at least knew the difference between his Zero from a Wildcat...
Highly recommended for this under-rated game...

I got mine liao - from Bras Brasah Popular. Still got a few copies. 19.90 is a steal for the game - I would have thought it would cost 40+
Anyways, I haven't really proceeded beyond the first training mission - I have difficulty panning the camera and the action is a bit far off (not really able to see the bombs exploding, etc) Maybe its due to me not too familar with the game controls yet.
I was quite disappointed it din allow me to control the guns on the ships beyond the AAs. I would love it if I could be in the main turret bombarding ships / coastal batteries in the distant. - much like one of the those sim games years back by SSI.
Anyways I won't pass any comments yet, I need to play more...keke. Looks like an exciting game, reading the manual already perks me up... -
