A question for tank modellers (experienced scale modellers)

Okay, I just bought a Academy 1/35 scale model M113...i just finished painting and applying the decals...i intended to lay the rubber tracks last. (the rubber tracks which u hav to use a heated screwdriver to melt it one) .the problem is..the rubber tracks supplied seems to be kinda short...cos I have difficulty laying it, whenever I tried stretching the track from one end to another the front wheel will come out, cos the pressure coming out from the overstretched track, is there way to deal with this problem...Im getting abit tulan

Try dipping the rubber tracks in a pot of boiling water and then stretching it a little at a time (the hot water will soften the rubber and allow it to be stretched). Keep the tracks stretched until it cools. Repeat until the tracks stay stretched.

Or buy aftermarket individual track links for added realism. For a stationary tank, you need to show a little "slack" in the tracks. Some of the Dragon kits I remember have partial track links. They were quite good.

Its like tat lah. Try get a M48A3 model from Tamiya then u know wat is call tight track
