AETOS uses khaki berets? Didn't know that. But AETOS uniform the shirt is lighter shade than the pants. These guys were one colour.Originally posted by Manager433:AETOs armed guards. Something similar to CISCO.

Anyway, I thought Auxiliary Police are despatched only in times of crisis? AFAIK under normal circumstances they function as a private firm. Since when did Aux Police start patrolling the streets with sub machine guns?
When Gurkhas are off duty they wear blue berets. Their uniform is still the old one hence even the whistle is still there.Originally posted by acwire_2125:I can confirm it is the Gurkhas!
I have seen them in Suntec and Airport. When on duty, they will wear their trademark hats tilted on one side. When they are off duty, they will don theor Khaki Beret. The only thing to idnetify them is the Khukri that they always wear wherever they are. The ranks on their no.4 are on the right pocket. Only when they are in their Police uniform( those that the regular police are wearing) they will wear their metal ranks on their sleeves.
May I know who are the KINS?Originally posted by sgf:Ok so this ain't exactly military but still, was just curious.
I know the Police Tactical Troop now wears red berets similar to our CDOs. But today opposite Novena Church I saw about 10 cops. Don't know which unit they are from. They were not wearing the bullet proof vests & red berets like the PTT. However they were carrying MP5s & wore boots & khaki berets. Anyone have a clue what unit this is? I'm pretty sure its not KINS 'cos those guys wear blue berets.
hey...i worn those during my NPCC days....less the weapon of cos lahOriginally posted by sgf:When Gurkhas are off duty they wear blue berets. Their uniform is still the old one hence even the whistle is still there.
Pic's from Wikipedia in case anyone questions its accuracy. And as mentioned, those I saw did NOT have kukri knives. Very odd for "Gurkhas" to be on duty without their Kukris. And as I also mentioned, one of them was clearly an Indian.
