HE shell for soft targets(impact fuze):blow a hole with diameter of 20m.
APFSDS shell: 500-550mm tank steel with impact angle of 90 degrees.
Tandem shaped-charge shell:1000mm tank steel
Max: 43 rounds main gun(12 in load drums, 5 in tower basket, 26 in vehicle trunk)
Fitted with Elbit sys digital fire control computer which computes ballistic correction values for height n side direction considering all substantial parameters: Type of ammo, distance, angle of jump,cross-wind speed, sea level, air, powder temperature n also barrel wear,etc.
Commander n gunner see the same picture with all relevant data on their monitors. Thus the target engagement time was substantially reduced.
Chassis armour:in front: 20mm,laterally: 14mm,in the back: 12mm,roof: 8mm.
Turret armour: in front: 40mm,laterally: 20mm,in the back: 20mm,roof: 10mm -
time to get new tanks lah ! ....

It's no secret, Jane's posted our Centurion (not Tempest) strength at around 70 vehicles if I'm not wrong. -

THe last pic is a swedish upgraded centurion. Our tempest is rumored to be about the same standard and profile.

I'm not saying that we don't have them....It's no secret. But we don't see them in "town",is it still in use? It's old to just like SM1....It's the here n the now thing....If u have it but its not here its as good as not having it....It might be all over.....So having the SM1 IMPROVED type might be a good idea as wellOriginally posted by papabear20046:

Our Tempest looks like the first picture but ours have smoke-chaffs launchers on the turret... That picture certainly is not SM1 ...

Our current SM1's have a 75mm main gun mounted on the turret(currently our main battle tank). The rest like bionix and M113 are APCs. And it's not like we dun wan to get a better tank like those with 105mm or even 120mm. Wat would our neighbours say? ("Wa, buy so big tank for wat hah....")
