Anyone know where to get a DVD of Stalingrad?
This movie came out about 10+ years ago but missed it as it was screened in the cinemas for a very short time -

tears of the sun. Not really a full-out war movie, but good enough.
Full metal jacket is a classic IMO. -
Das Boot
The best submarine movie ever filmed...have to watch it in German...saw Stalingard too...can try those DVD shops at Suntec...think I saw it there...really great WW II movie... -

Das Boot rocks! It fact is like the gold standard in WW2 submarine movies! Its best to watch in German with English subtitles for more realism. You can really feel the despair and hopeless among the crew in the tiny,dark and wet sub. In fact the much more recent U571 adapted alot of their filming techniques from Das Boot!Originally posted by riken1974:Das Boot

Agreed...although U 571 is flimed much later than Das Boot....it's still nowhere near Das Boot...think it's by the same director Wolfgang Peterson...if i'm not wrong..Originally posted by tankee1981:Das Boot rocks!
