ERNA RAID competition

  Hi folks, recently I come across this particular competition known as the ERNA RAID competition. It is a competition that commemorate the Estonian troop's raids on the Soviet Union back during WW2. This was due to the fact that their home land had been annexed by the USSR. It is a competition that involves testing of military skills like shooting and recon at various stations and the teams have to do it without being caught by the OPFOR. Dose SAF send teams to such competitions? Bcos this competition is deemed quite realistic and could provide means to toughen our relatively un-tested troops. I was quite surprised that only one Asian nation, which is China, took part and they faired quite well for the 2005 one. i have also seen Chinese webbies making big hoo ha abt their achievement.

  Nope. Never seen any listing of SAF taking part in the competition.

  I think we should send in our SOF to see how well they do. But our SOF may not have trained in such a terrain and climate before.

  Actually the China teams are most of the time either the best or among the best performing teams in the competition, almost every year.
  
  And every year, they send teams from different units/military regions.
