Effective against very small n very fast targets such as ASM missiles. Have a target range over 15km and coverage to an alt up to 15000m. Transportable in C-130, high level of protection against all types of ECM. BAMSE battery comprises one Surveillance Co-ord Centre (SCC) and three firing units. SCC includes features like auto tracking, continuous threat evaluation n engagement planning. Max up to 6 firing units can be individually co-ord by an SCC. Firing unit can be deployed n fire preparations can be done in less than 10 min with its fire control radar,thermal imaging sys, IFF n weather sensor up on a stabilised platform on top of an 8-m-high mast ready to fire. Missile launcher is located on the roof of the firing unit n contains 6 ready-to-fire missiles. Complete reloading takes less than 4 min. Distance between firing units 20km, SCC n firing unit 10km so large area protected. Missile has prox n impact fuze. Warhead provides lethal effect against all types of targets from small targets like anti radiation missiles to large targets such as transport aircraft.

Jernas as replacement? Personally i think this is unlikely because our Rapier is close to the Jernas standard, ours even uses the same missiles as the Jernas. But i can't find anything close to qualify as Rapier's replacement.

Singapore wont use jernas 1 la cos Malaysia using ,anyway our rapier is thou still using e old launcher they r firing e newer rapier 2000 missiles use by e jernas or so i heard
