I'll have to agree that I have a lack of confidence in the capability of our junior officers to make tactical decisions on the ground level that would not send good troops to unnecessary risks.
I guess with this kinda reports coming up, it shows that Israel was not prepared for a ground war, and did not have proper objectives for its ground efforts when it suddenly realised they needed boots on the ground.
1. Originally intended as an air campaign, to bomb hezbollah out of Southern Lebanon
2. Realises air campaign was unable to reach harder targets, and ground forces required.
3. Commitment of ground forces not part of the original plan, hence lack of proper objectives for the ground forces, resulting in such reports.
