SG Secret weapon?

Ok. I can't scan it. Something wrong with scanner. So I typed down the important facts la.
While much of the technology and hardware come from overseas - inlcuding fighters, frigates an attack helicopters, Singaore also has its own "secret" conventional weapons under development according to a senior defence ministry official.
Bla bla bla
While Mindef has publicised some of its locally made armamnets such as rones artillery etc etc bla bla....it is the fruits of home grown research that will keep potential enemies guessing.
Quek declines to discuss the undisclosed home grown weapons in detail saying " it has to remian a secret" and will not say how powerful they are.
bla bla bla....
But unless or until an agressor forces Singapore's military to show its hand, the secret weapon will remain a mystery. -

A large TV guided "bomb" was unveiled or rather declassified only last year which was developed more than 20 years ago, so one could imagine what other capability that DSTA has developed since then till now that is not declassified!!!!Originally posted by equlus84:I was thinking........wad is the difference between guided rockets and missiles? Missile technology I think we are quite matured now, so I believe our own indigenous missile is either under development or already developed.

I suspect in times of extreme desperation we might even manufacture and use chemical weapons. Hint: None of our ASEAN neighbours have chemical weapons but our entire SAF is trained in CD. We definitely have the capability but we are bound by international treaty not to possess or use them. It will most probably be use at a last ditch effort to repel an invasion. -

some of the home-grown technologies may have been fruits of polytechnic projects. DSTA paid one of my ex-campmates a handsome 5-figure sum for a EM device they research and built which could take down a building's electricity by interfering with and possibly damaging the circuit breakers. they took the device, the relevant IP and technologies in, and might have build on it already.

I would not be surprised if one of the "secret weapons" or "silver bullets" mentioned in public include fuel-air explosives. These are conventional weapons but have the might of a mini-nuclear bomb.

Its mentioned in Janes that a certain supersonic UAV developed by ST by the name of Firefly can be converted to a cruise missile when required. And the payload in this modified UAV may just happen to be a FAE warhead!
