The 1st firing involved the AGL mounted on a Mercedes
Benz MB240 jeep. The MB240 jeep, the latest addition
to FDS, is slightly different from its Army counterpart,
the former having an additional single shot mode to the
burst fire one. The AGL gives better firepower to perform
reinforcement and counterattack roles during operations.

Btw i know that the PDF and the RSAF field defence squadron is being equipped with V150/V200, any other unit uses this vehicle?
This news also more or less confirm the news that SAF have ordered Terrex vehicles is unlikely. If they have bought the new Terrex then it makes little sense in spending extra money to upgrade these old vehicles.

It just cost S$400,000 to upgrade each old platform,compared few million
to buy new one .
It is really value for money for Home Land Defence(Costal,key point
air base etc)
Also it is good for protect supply line outside Sg. -
I thought ours all V-200?
Well, for sure we are the only one to operate the V-200. Others like Indo, Thai etc operate V-150.
Let's not forget why te V-200 was relegated to 2nd line duties: They flip over easily.
The COG is very high as the vehicle to tall and narrow. People have been killed when the V-200 flipped over doing X-country. -
We have 450 of them in service? How come they are never seen? With a few of them in Air Force for the RBS70, and a few as gate guardians, I would assume the bulk are with 2PDF? Never see them being used on exercise.
Btw, we have 60mm mortars? 3.5inch M20 rocket launchers?? Again who uses them? -

M20 rockets, I don't remember the exact designation though. -

When I was doing my NSF term during 2003, I still see some reservist units using the 106 RR on the Mercedes jeep. I think old stuffs are still in use. I wonder wheel armoured vehicles have any place in SAF doctrines at all. Those countries that use wheels extensively like Philippines are those fighting insurgency. So does this mean the Terrex have no chance in the SAF orbat at all? I doubt ST will produce any thing that is most prob not to be used in SAF, as SAF is the prime customer.

Terrex supposedly comes in a 105mm main tank gun variant. Will be interesting to see how those will fit into our orbat if at all.

Sadly no. I can confirm that the old 106mm RR is still in use. Everyday I can see V200 crew doing engine running around their MT line and occasionally can see the old 106mm RR mounted jeep from my working place. See till sian liao. One thing I dislike, the engine sound generate by the V200 damn loud. Can hear them miles away.

I think 2 PDF still using it. But due for replacement I think. However probably still very effective against landing craft I would imagine and lots of rounds available. :-)

The 106 RR is one powerful SOB that is mountable on a light vehicle.
The 106 round can destroy many things including bunkers. It is a terror to fire though as the backblast is FANTASTIC. Saw it on TV. The jeep mounting it lifted up several inches into the air as it fired. -

In actual combat, the back blast, flash and sound is a death trap as it will reveal your position to the enemy MBT. The 106 is regarded less and less as a anti-MBT weapon for the reason you mentioned.
But then, the 106 is still a super powerful weapon. It can still ruin the day for most IFV and bunkers. The variety of ammo is still good.

the RRs are very easily spoilt. my PC once told me that mostly they fire once and the damn vehicle breaks down
